Season 3: Love Lionheartedly

Episode 1

Introduction to the Wright Developmental Model

The final season of my video series delves into the six major feelings, ultimately providing us a full model of human development.

To kick off the third season of my video series, we discuss how awareness and choice can help us live our lives more fully and reach our potential.

Here’s what’s covered in this episode:

Overview of the Wright Developmental Model (WDM)

Developed by Dr. Bob Wright, the WDM is composed of six levels designed to help us better understand our thoughts, feelings and actions so we can become the best version of ourselves.

The WDM focuses on awareness and choice

Once we are aware of our feelings, we can make better choices that align with our needs, wants,
and goals.

Feelings can be uncomfortable, and that’s ok

The more intentional time we spend to understand our feelings, the less uncomfortable we will be expressing them to others.

The five main feelings of the WDM

Fear, Hurt, Anger, Sadness, and Joy—each of these has a specific purpose.

Challenge for next episode

See if you can become aware of these five feelings and how they show up in your life.
