Life Is Sales: The Program

Developing the next generation of sales professionals

I want to help as many salespeople go as far as they can. And we are all salespeople, so I guess I want to help everyone to maximize their unique potential. That’s why I developed the Life Is Sales training program along with my colleague Drew Allison. Its curriculum walks you through the hard and soft skills needed to be successful in sales and approach sales as a service to others, to your company, and to yourself.

For decades, serving others has been at the core of everything I do. I believe that sales gives everyone the unique opportunity to stretch ourselves, to constantly be learning, and to consistently be of service to others, both professionally and personally.

We’re excited to continue this tradition by helping others build the career of their dreams and the life they want to lead.

One of the most important things I’ve learned in my career is that I can’t do it alone…especially in sales. Life Is Sales is more than a collection of videos—it’s a community of experienced salespeople and an immersive training program with accountability and support. We offer individual coaching and sales groups that provide you with the fundamental support and coaching needed to succeed. Members of the Life is Sales community will have the opportunity to choose how to engage based on the ways that make sense for them and their business.

What is Life Is Sales?

Video Course

On-demand sales training hosted and led by Rich Lyons

We’ve designed 26 modules that alternate between the hard and soft skills of sales. They’re intended to be watched every two weeks, but students are welcome to work at their own pace and will have full access to the videos for two years after purchase. The Video Course can be completed independently, but we recommend pairing it with the Sales Group and/or Individual Coaching elements for maximum impact. A workbook is included for use with the video course.

Sales Groups

Bimonthly labs that build a healthy and fun relationship with accountability

The Video Course emphasizes the power of accountability, and our biweekly Sales Groups provide the opportunity to receive it in real time.  You will virtually work alongside salespeople across all industries while completing the accompanying workbook and supporting one another in your activity. Groups will consist of 2-8 members who meet twice per month for 60-90 minutes. Sessions will focus on pipeline reviews, contests, sharing feedback, and brainstorming solutions to any issues members may be facing. Sales Groups are exclusively available to Video Course participants.

Individual Coaching

1-on-1 sessions to focus on the immediate needs of your business

We pair you with one of our professionally trained sales coaches who will help translate the universalities of the curriculum into actionable changes you can make in your business. Coaches and students will meet virtually once or twice per month, for 30-60 minutes each session, to ensure consistent learning and growth and that measurable results are being achieved. Students will get specialized guidance, along with assignments and goals, based on their specific industry and sales experience. Your coach will push you beyond what you thought was possible, be the first person to support you when you fail, and cheer the loudest when you succeed. The Individual Coaching element can be selected on its own or paired with the Video Course and/or Sales Group.

We recommend engaging with all three course components for a holistic education that unlocks maximum growth for students.
